You are also responsible for ensuring that any restricted item is supported by the necessary permit, licence, prescription, approval, or other authorization before shipment or clearance. We may refuse, suspend, isolate, report, or surrender any shipment that appears unsafe, prohibited, misdeclared, abandoned, or non-compliant.
5. Customs, duties, and regulatory compliance
Customs duties, taxes, stamp duties, additional charges, examination charges, storage charges, permit fees, broker fees, penalties, and government charges are the customer’s responsibility unless we expressly state otherwise in writing. Any online calculator, quotation, rate card, advertisement, or verbal estimate is provided for convenience only and may change where there are differences in actual weight, volumetric weight, declared value, dimensions, service level, destination, regulatory treatment, or third-party charges. Final charges are based on the shipment actually received and processed.
7. Delays, loss, damage, and claims
You must inspect shipments promptly on delivery or pickup and notify us within a reasonable time if an item appears missing, incorrect, or damaged. We may ask for photographs, invoices, packaging evidence, and any other records necessary to review the claim. We are not responsible for losses caused by inadequate supplier packaging, manufacturer defects, hidden damage, customs seizure, prohibited items, inaccurate declarations, force majeure events, or delays caused by third parties or government action.
